Little Me might not have known much about global banking conspiracies or the Trilateral Commission, but you could coax him onto the cyberpunk neo-anarchist bandwagon with a pair of polarised Wayfarers and a trench coat. My reasoning was solid: I’d never heard of the game, but the back of the box promised guns and conspiracies, and the dude on the front was rocking some dangerously cool shades. I agree with the characters and story not being all that good though.Somewhere, wheezing for breath under the clutter of my room/workspace/habitat, is my original Deus Ex CD-ROM, which I bought aged 12 on a whim with pocket money. Graphics aren't bad either in director's cut. Also the sound is pretty good, it's just that in Deus Ex 1 it was much better. what a shame I disagree with the gameplay and replayability parts, I found the gameplay to be extremely fun and the game to have much replay value. The plot is non-existent in HR and in MD as well. And yes, the black and gold style in the game is just cool :) This is just my opinion.īut it's foolish to deny that the 2000 year game is technically losing to the 2011 year game.
This is not the cyberpunk I imagine it to be, and the plot is too weak and drawn out. I went through the HR story many times, but I could not fully finish the original. what a shame As I said, tastes are hard to argue about. The graphics are lliteral yellow trash, sound is white noise soundtrack, gameplay is jsut another consoloid garbage, replayability is non existent and there are no characters whatsoever. In the old deus now it makes no sense to play without mods like revision or gmdx.īut everyone has their own opinion, no need to impose it. The plot is a moot point, I like it more in HR. Graphics, sound, gameplay, replayability, characters. Of course, the new deus is superior to the old in almost everything. Who played recently - for that it's a dull piece of ♥♥♥♥. Who played in childhood - for that this is the best game so far.
